San Antonio Women's Rugby Club

The San Antonio Women’s Rugby Club was founded in the summer 2015 as a sevens team. With two men’s rugby clubs active in the area, a women’s side had been absent for some years. The Riveters became a flocking ground to women who wanted to push their body to the limits and create strong bonds in the community.

In 2017 a group of girls reached out about starting a high school side.  The Riveters supplied them with tools and guidance, and with their own drive the high school team was formed. The team is open to all young women from any San Antonio high school.

When you look at us, we are a diverse group of women, ranging in age, backgrounds, and careers. We welcome all women who want to learn the game and those who have played – providing opportunities for women at any level to improve their mental and physical capacity.
